Healthy Chocolate Cupcakes

I’m always looking for ways to sneak healthy fats and super foods into my kids lunchbox, so these healthy chocolate cupcakes are a school lunchbox winner with the addition of avocado and yoghurt and no refined white flour or refined white sugar! Healthy Chocolate Cupcakes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes


  • 120 grams butter, melted
  • 2 eggs (preferably Organic)
  • 1/2 a soft ripe avocado
  • 1/4 cup sugar free Natural or Greek yogurt ((learn to make your own here|
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 cup spelt flour or flour of your choice
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup cacao


  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees celcius
  2. Line your cupcake trays or mini muffin trays with cupcake liners
  3. Mix all ingredients together in a food processor or by hand until well combined
  4. Pour into cupcake liners
  5. Bake for 20 minutes or until they spring back when gently pushed on top
  6. Cool on a wire rack then store in an airtight container
